Safe Travels App

On September 1, the State of Hawaii launched the new online Safe Travels application mandatory for all travelers. This new application collects required health and travel information including arrival temperature checks and secondary screening for travelers with symptoms or temperatures of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

Travelers are encouraged to enter information well in advance of their flight. Once their health information is entered 24 hours before departure, travelers receive a QR code via email. The QR code on their mobile device or printed on paper gets scanned by the airport screener upon arrival.

The State Department of Health, Department of the Attorney General, and county law enforcement officials will have access to this information to monitor and protect public health in real-time and enforce quarantine rules.
